Clips & Pubs
“Beth writes substantive pieces in a concise and highly readable style. She knows how to bring a personal touch to authoritative, service-driven blogs and articles. She also meets deadlines, is easy to work with and responds promptly to questions during the editorial process. I highly recommend her.” — Marilynn Larkin M.A., Editor, February 2012
In the past, I worked as a generalist, and my clips reflect that. I’ve written about art and antiques and have done profiles of notable individuals.
I still write about antiques and collecting, and now I’m also focusing on health and medical writing for consumers and clinicians. In my work as a nurse, I’ve seen a real hunger among patients and providers for concise, trusted content on everything from diabetes education to pre-operative fasting guidelines to smartphone apps for patients. Please check my blog for short health and medical writing samples.
I’m a recurring contributor in the Health and Caregiving channels at Next Avenue and previously was a contributing editor at Caring.com. Here’s a list of a few of the outlets I’ve written for, plus clips as URLs or PDFs:
